Frequently Asked Questions
1. What makes the Handicare 1100 different from other straight stairlifts?
The Handicare 1100 boasts the slimmest rail on the market, allowing more space on your stairs. Unlike traditional models, its track is completely grease-free, so there's no mess, no fuss, and a sleek, modern look.
2. Does the stairlift stop automatically if something is on the stairs?
Yes, it’s fitted with intelligent safety sensors. If it detects an obstacle (like a dropped object or pet), it will gently stop to prevent accidents.
3. How does the stairlift charge itself?
It uses continuous charging technology, meaning it charges at any point along the track, not just at the top or bottom. Your stairlift is always ready to go.
4. Is the stairlift track visible or bulky?
Not at all. The low-profile aluminium track blends in beautifully with most interiors and sits close to the wall - no exposed gears or teeth are visible.
5. Can I customise the seat?
The standard Smart seat is stylish and practical, but yes, custom seat styles and colours may be available - ask us about upgrade options!
